Started on 6th June 2002, at 14 Slugger is one of the longest continuously running political blogs on the island of Ireland. Begun by Mick Fealty as part of a research project, it quickly became a watering hole for Northern Ireland's political and media classes.

Once referred to by an Irish junior Minister as an insider's insider blog, Slugger continues to attract influential audience across Ireland and Britain looking for high level political intelligence mixed with good conversation and good old fashioned crack. We take our politics seriously, but not always too seriously.
