Upon taking redundancy from a regional newspaper in 2014, Ciaran Tierney began writing a personal blog which focused on current affairs and political issues. Ciaran has a keen interest in tackling and highlighting injustice, and issues such as racism, discrimination, the abuse of power, and the struggles of ordinary people which are sometimes ignored by the mainstream media.

Ciaran won second prize in this category at the V by Very Blog of the Year awards in 2017.
